With an estimated salary of over $10 million in 2017 which is more than the worldwide gross of his Boston Marathon bombing film, “Patriots Day”, 46-year-old Mark Wahlberg has been named the most overpaid actor of 2017 by Forbes.
The actor was reportedly paid a whopping $68 million this year before taxes, in his 3 pre-June 1 wide release films which brought in $4.40 for every $1 he was paid to appear in them.
On the other hand, Christian Bale was also named the second most overpaid actor by Forbes, as he reportedly earned 11% of “The Promise” $90 million production budget, a movie which is said to be the worst-performing wide release of 2017.
Channing Tatum stuck to the third position, as he reportedly brought in a tragic $7.60 for every $1 he was paid. Forbes credits the poor performance of “Logan Lucky,” which grossed $46.7 million and cost $29 million to make, with his inclusion in the list.
With this recent list, Walberg who who was named the highest paid actor of the year in August, reportedly knocked ioff last year’s winner Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson by a mere $3 million.
